Items needed to submit FAFSA:
· Social Security number for yourself and parents (if dependent)
· Your driver's license (if any).
· Your W-2 Forms and other records of money earned (and your spouse´s, if you are married) Federal and State Income Tax Returns.
· Your Parents’ Federal and State Income Tax return (if you are a dependent student).
· Any untaxed income (social security, temporary assistance for needy families, welfare benefits, veterans benefits records.
· Your current bank statements.
· Your current business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, stock, bond, and other investment records.

Federal Pell Grants – Financial aid does not have to be repaid (unless you receive a refund and then withdrew from school and/or receive all failing grades). Apply by submitting FAFSA application on line. All federal pell grants are awarded based on financial need. Awards are based on expected family contribution, enrollment status, and whether you attend for a full academic year or less. To ensure processing of your financial aid, please apply early. Don’t forget you can apply on line after January 1 of each year. Pell grant award amounts can change yearly.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants: Grants do not have to be repaid (unless you receive a refund and then withdrew from school and/or receive all failing grades). Grants are awarded to students with exceptional financial need. Eligibility is determined based on FAFSA information. Award amounts are normally $400 per year at Three Rivers Community College. Funding is limited so it is important to apply early.
ACG Grant: Grants that do not have to be repaid (unless you receive a refund and then withdrew from school and/or receive all failing grades). These are awarded to undergraduate students who are enrolled in their first or second academic year in an eligible program who have completed a rigorous secondary school program or study, and who also have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the first academic year.
College Work-Study: Need based aid that does not have to be paid back. Eligibility is determined based on FAFSA information. Money is paid directly to the student once a month. Positions are limited so submit the FAFSA early. Once eligibility is determined and you are hired, contact the Financial Aid Office at 573-840-9606 for final paperwork.
Student Loans – TRCC offers Federal Stafford Loans and Parent Plus loans. TRCC does not offer alternative, Perkins or private student loans due to our low cost of attendance. Remember student loans must be repaid so borrow wisely!
If you are a first time Federal Stafford Student Loan Borrower at Three Rivers Community College, you must also submit a copy of your completed:
ü Complete FAFSA on file with the TRCC Financial Aid Office.
ü Federal Stafford Student Loan Master Promissory Note at www.mohela.com.
ü Entrance Loan Counseling for the Federal Stafford Student Loan from www.mappingyourfuture.org.
ü Completed Stafford loan data sheet (available under TRCC forms)

The Financial Aid Office will not be able to process your Federal Stafford Student Loan until you have completed all four steps.
If you are a repeat Federal Stafford Student Loan Borrower, you will need to complete a FAFSA and updated Student Loan Data Sheet (available under TRCC Forms) only that you just completed for your current request.
Submit all the above completed information to the TRCC Financial Aid Office, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd., Poplar Bluff MO 63901.

Scholarships – TRCC offers many institutional, private and endowment scholarships. Please submit a scholarship application each year prior to April 1 to the TRCC Financial Aid Office, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd., Poplar Bluff MO 63901. Application is available under TRCC forms. A+ Guidelines – Students who attend A+ high schools and successfully complete Missouri’s A+ program are then eligible to use the A+ incentive to pay for up to six semesters of tuition and common fees at TRCC.
The following must be provided to the Financial Aid Advisor:
ü Submit a copy of class schedule each semester
ü Notification if you change degree program
ü Reporting added or dropped classes or withdrawing from college
ü Confirmation of completed FAFSA each year

OUTSOURCED AGENCY SERVICES
The Trade Readjustment Allowance Program (TRA) is a special program created by the federal government to retrain workers who were either laid off due to increased imports or whose employment was moved to Canada or Mexico.
The Workforce Investment Act Program (WIA) signed into law on August 7, 1988, capping a seven-year effort to consolidate and streamline the nation’s employment and training programs. WIA replaced the Job Training Partnership ACT (JTPA), enacted October 13, 1982.
There are three types of WIA students and they are as follows:
Dislocated worker: Individuals 18 years and older, who have lost their employment due to a permanent layoff, plant closure, dismissal, or displacement as a homemaker.
Youth: Ages 14 through 21 who are a member of a household that receives public assistance, or who meet income eligibility criteria and who have a barrier to employment that need additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure or retain employment.
Adults: Individuals, age 18 or older, who are members of a household receiving public assistance or who meet income eligibility criteria.
The Career Assistance Program (CAP) works with individuals receiving TANF to help them become job ready.
TRA, WIA, AND CAP STUDENTS REQUIREMENTS:
ü Complete a FAFSA.
ü Submit a copy of class schedule each semester.
ü Sign the daily attendance sheet every day student attends classes (on campus or off campus).
ü Make satisfactory academic progress.
ü Obtain a bookstore charge from the financial aid advisor before getting books.
Three Rivers Community College works closely with caseworkers to provide the students with a training program geared to the students’ choice of career training. VA BENEFITS
TRCC is approved for certification for students eligible to receive Veterans Benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Montgomery GI Bill provides up to 36 months of education benefits for college education.
VA Requirements
ü New veterans or spouses/children of disabled veterans must contact the Financial Aid Advisor at 573-840-9175 for eligibility for VA benefits.
ü All veterans must contact the Financial Aid Advisor before they enroll for classes.
ü Complete and sign a Veterans Registration Form (available online) and send a copy of the class schedule to the Financial Aid Advisor every semester.
ü NOTE: VA students must pay all charges. GARD, MGIB and CH35. Financial Aid is not deferred for VA students. Exception: VA Vocational Rehabilitation.
ü Applying for a pell grant at fafsa.ed.gov is encouraged.
ü The VA Flyer which contains updated education rate tables is available on the TRCC Website.
ü Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
