POPLAR BLUFF - Teresa Johnson, director of marketing at Three Rivers Community College, has been named Chair of the Missouri Community College Association’s Marketing and Development Council by  Dr. James Kellerman, Executive Director/CEO of MCCA.
 
The Marketing and Development Council works to enhance, coordinate, and initiate marketing, promotional and fund raising efforts of MCCA and assists state community colleges in their marketing, promotional and fund raising efforts.
 
“I look forward to working with this dynamic group that includes marketing and development staff from all of Missouri’s community colleges. We all share the important job of making the public aware of the quality, affordable and accessible programs offered at community colleges. The council allows members to share ideas on marketing and fund-raising that benefit the individual institutions, as well as community colleges statewide,” Johnson said.
 
 The Marketing and Development Council is formulated under the auspices of MCCA and its Administrative and Professional Department.
 
Johnson has been employed as marketing director at Three Rivers since 2004. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and has more than 28 years experience in journalism and marketing/public relations.
