Three Rivers alumna to present recital
POPLAR BLUFF - The Three Rivers Community College Department of Music will present a college alumna in a special piano recital later this month.
Dexter resident Priscilla Noyes will be featured in a recital at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 7 in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.
Noyes is a 2004 graduate of TRCC and a graduate music student at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is majoring in piano performance and plans to receive a masters degree from ASU this spring.
While at ASU, Noyes has performed in the Delta Symphony Concerto Competition, honors recitals, a junior piano recital, the Beethoven Piano Club Competition in Memphis, Tenn., and was accepted and attended the prestigious Sewanee Summer Music Festival in Sewanee, Tenn., in the summer of 2005.
Noyes is the daughter of Vicky and David Noyes of Dexter. She studied private piano with Dexter music educator MaryRuth Boone and while at TRCC continued her piano studies under TRCC instructor Cindy White. While at ASU, Noyes has studied piano with Dr. Lauren Schack Clark. She will present her Graduate Piano Recital at ASU at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall on the ASU campus in Jonesboro.
The TRCC recital on Feb. 7 will be held in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center Theater. The recital is sponsored by the TRCC Department of Music and admission is free.
