TRCC LIBRARY TO HOST
ANNUAL POETRY NIGHT
Campus event part of observance of National Poetry Month
 

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - Three Rivers Community College will observe National Poetry Month with its Annual Poetry Night at 6:30 p.m.,  Monday, May 5. The TRCC Poetry Night will be held in the Rutland Library on the TRCC campus.
 
 According to Director of Library Services Gordon Johnston Rutland Library's 11th Annual Poetry Night is open to the public. There will be an "open mic" and those attending can share a favorite poem or original work. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
 
 Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, National Poetry Month (NPM) brings together publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools, and poets around the country to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture.
