Foundation

The mission of the Three Rivers Community College Foundation is all about building relationships and working to enhance the work of the college and community.

Since its inception the TRCC Foundation has invested more than $6 million to enhance the the facilities and programs at Three Rivers. The Foundation helps provide scholarships for deserving students and funds for other crucial projects. The Foundation has made possible the $3.5 million E.K. Porter Distance Learning Center through the generosity of Mrs. Kay Porter.

The Foundation has also purchased the new four-color Daktronics computer-controlled sign that greets students and guests to the Poplar Bluff campus, made improvements to the TRCC softball and baseball fields, rennovated the old athletic housing facility which is today home to the Three Rivers Bookstore and Gift Shop and many other projects.

The TRCC Foundation is a not-for-profit private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. For many years the Foundation Board was led by the late Alvin "Buddy" Bess. Board members today include Martha Bidewell, Jay Githens, L. Joe Scott, John Stanard, Don C. Bedell, William Vail and Larry Cotrell. The executive director of the Foundation is Judith W. Scott.
