New students are required to attend New Student Orientation. Students receive 1 hour of credit for this 8-week course. This course requires an initial workshop training that may be selected during the advising and registration period.Faculty and students were polled in the important skills needed to succeed in starting college. This orientation focuses on those skills needed to be successful at Three Rivers. Students attend an initial workshop and receive tips on success within the classroom and how to use technology offered at Three Rivers.
The Student Services and Student Support Services staff offer mini-courses covering topics such as time management, study skills, career development, exam skills, use of library resources, etc. Mini-courses are offered to all students without charge. Announcements of these offerings will be posted in advance.
Students register for the 1 credit hour course during advising and registration in choosing their first semester courses.
