Surgical Technology

For Career Technical related One-Year certifcates, please visit the Career Technical section.
The requirements for the certificates:
Students must complete all courses in the prescribed curriculum, two of which must be TRCC courses, and have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher for the courses in that curriculum.
Students must meet both state and federal Constitution requirements as specified in Section 170.011 RSMo (Supp. 1987).
Students must meet all financial obigations.

Surgical Technology
Course Requirements
Offered as a non-credit, continuing education program, Surgical Technology is an intense three-semester, 1,000 contact hour curriculum. Subject matter includes anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, communication and surgical technology skills that enable the graduate to work in operating rooms. Developed in response to community needs, the program uses local hospitals for clinical experiences.
