Three Rivers extends registration hours due to weather closings
Three Rivers College has announced that it will be extending the hours for students to complete registration at its Poplar Bluff Campus and its Centers in Dexter, Kennett, Malden, and Sikeston, in response to lost time due to recent weather related closings.
The college's locations will be open from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. December 16-19 and January 7-9. In addition, a special registration session will be held on Saturday, January 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the special session, prospective students will be able to finish the registration process, as well as apply for financial aid. Those wishing to register at the Sikeston Center must call 573-472-5223 for an appointment.
"With the weather keeping the college closed, we lost several days that we normally would have used for registering students," said Dr. Angela Totty, Vice President for Student Success at Three Rivers. "The extra hours should make it easier for students who were planning on registering, but unable to due to weather, to catch up."
Prospective students must have their high school transcripts, and an ACT or Compass placement test score no more than two years old. The Compass test, which helps determine appropriate class placement in English, reading, and math, can be taken on the Poplar Bluff Campus on December 17 and 18, during the January 11 special registration session at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., and from January 7-10. To reserve a seat for a Compass test session, students should visit trcc.edu/testing. Those testing during the special session do not need to make a reservation.
Those interested in enrolling can browse available courses by clicking "Search for Classes" at trcc.edu. Current students can register online through the myTRCC system. Prospective students must fill out a free application online at trcc.edu/admissions.
