Application deadline approaches for Nursing programs at Three Rivers
Three Rivers College's Department of Nursing and Allied Health has extended the application deadline for its day and evening Nursing programs in Poplar Bluff, its LPN-to-RN Bridge program in Poplar Bluff, and its Practical Nursing program in Kennett. The deadline for all four programs has been extended to March 1.
"With the recent weather closings reducing the time that students had to apply before the usual deadline, we decided to make up lost time by extending the deadline," said Staci Campbell, chair of Nursing and Allied Health. "These programs give extraordinary career advancement possibilities to our students, and we wanted to give every opportunity for students wanting to join the programs to apply."
Applicants for the Nursing and LPN-to-RN Bridge programs must be enrolled in or have passed MATH 103 or 153, have completed or be enrolled in CHEM 111, take the NLN-PAX-RN pre-entrance exam and achieve a minimum score of 105, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA across all college credit hours completed to be eligible for admission into the programs. Practical Nursing applicants must have their GED or high school diploma with transcripts and complete the TEAS-V pre-entrance test to be eligible for admission.
Campbell advises that all admissions materials, including official copies of transcripts from high school and other colleges, must be received by the March 1 deadline. Application forms for the RN, LPN-to-RN, and PN programs can be found online by going to trcc.edu/admissions and clicking on "Application." Prospective students must also complete a free Three Rivers application. For more information, contact Staci Campbell at 573-840-9680.
