Three Rivers' Associate of Arts Degree, General Education pathway is designed to provide a well-rounded introduction to the Liberal Arts for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university.
This degree is an option if you are unsure which major you want to pursue. It allows you to complete the basic freshman and sophomore courses in English, science, math, social studies, and communications required for most bachelor's degrees.
The Three Rivers General Education pathway allows you to broaden your general knowledge while offering an affordable way to explore academic goals and interests. Three Rivers' class sizes are small, offering more personalized instruction than at a large university. The faculty hold advanced degrees in the specialties they teach.
The General Education pathway covers a wide range of courses without requiring the student to concentrate on one field of study. However, individuals going this route do have to adhere to the college's associate degree general guidelines in order to obtain this degree.

Students pursuing this degree should meet with an academic advisor at Three Rivers and at their intended baccalaureate institution to determine an appropriate educational plan to help ensure a seamless transfer.
