From the Artist

The serene scenes in my art reflect my love of the peacefulness of nature. Several generations of my family have called home the Ozark foothills near Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

My interest in art began as a child when I was inspired by my artist mom, Rose Barbour. I studied art at the University of Missouri in Columbia and Kansas University in Lawrence. I continue to take courses from artists who inspire me. The Hudson River School of artists as well as the art of the Impressionist movement take my breath away.

For most of my professional career, I have been a graphic designer and illustrator working with clients in the U.S. and Canada and New Zealand.

I am represented by Artfully Framed Gallery and Archer Gift Shop at 416 Vine Street in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
