Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course

The ACLS Provider Course is a traditional classroom, video-based, instructor-led course designed to improve the clinical outcomes of the sick or injured patient. This course will help to prepare the healthcare providers to quickly recognize and treat the patient in a medical or traumatic cardiopulmonary event, post cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, and stroke. *American Heart Association (AHA) requires video-based training with the support of clinical scenarios and skill proficiency. HeartCode BLS Skills checkoffs

Prehospital Trauma Life Specialist Course

PHTLS is designed to advance the providers’ pre-hospital knowledge in assessment, treatment, and transport of the trauma patient. PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) is an internationally recognized course that is developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). 16-hour course/CEU’s $200

Prehospital Trauma Life Specialist Refresher Class

The Refresher Course in PHTLS is designed to advance the providers’ pre-hospital knowledge in assessment, treatment, and transport of the trauma patient. PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) is an internationally recognized course that is developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). 8-hour course/CEU’s $150

Critical Care Provider Training

This course is designed to prepare the advanced healthcare provider to increase their knowledge in critical patient care. Critical care training in this course provides instruction and understating beyond basic training of the advanced healthcare provider. After completing this course, the student can sit for the Critical Care Paramedic Examination. The certification is focused on the knowledge level of master-level paramedics who have experience working as a critical care paramedic providing patient care in the pre-hospital, inter-hospital, and hospital environments. $825

Safe Sitter Courses

Safe Sitter CPR Class

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate babysitting preparation program designed for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. This national program teaches sitters: How to have fun with children How to recognize a medical emergency and know the appropriate action to take Tips for handling specific ages Injury prevention Safety for the sitter and the children Rescue breathing Care of the choking child CPR The business of babysitting the curriculum was updated in 2012 to include CPR, “Online Safety” and social media.

Three Rivers offers four different Safe Sitter classes:

  • Safe at Home: Grades 4-6. This is a 2-hour class. $15.
  • Safe Sitter Essentials: Grades 6-8. This is a 6 1/2 hour class. $50.
  • Safe Sitter Expanded: Grades 6-8. This is a 2-day class, 5 1/2 hours each day. $75
  • Safe Sitter Grandparents Program. This is a 3-hour class. $25.

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION The IBSC (International Board of Specialty Certification) is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the accreditation body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE). The NCCA Standards were developed to help ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the public. These standards highlight the essential elements found in a high-quality certification examination program.
