Business & Industry
Three Rivers networks directly with local workforce investment boards, chambers of commerce, regional planning commissions, economic development groups, and state agencies to identify workforce demand for local industry sectors.
Designing and Implementing Training
Many area companies turn to the business and industry training programs at Three Rivers for assistance with their training needs. Three Rivers helps companies design and implement training programs, coordinate with other companies with similar needs to make the training more affordable, and make use of state funding programs to cover training costs. Three Rivers provides different training options, including Missouri One Start Customized, New Jobs, and Retaining Jobs Programs. Contract training is also available upon request. The training can be delivered by the college, the company, or an outside vendor, depending on company needs.
Regional Reach
Many area companies have sought out Three Rivers’ help with training needs. At the request of area companies, Three Rivers helps organize and coordinate the training for three area training consortia, each covering a separate region of the Three Rivers service area. The consortia help companies reduce costs by consolidating training for employers with similar training needs. Individual companies also seek out Three Rivers training for specific needs.
