About Brian Alworth
Brian is a photographer living in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He first got interested in photography in the 1980s, and quickly discovered that he had an eye for composition and balance. Like many photographers, his first camera was a simple 35mm with a used lens, but he quickly graduated to medium and large format film cameras. His primary camera for many years was a non-metered Pentax 6×7 roll-film camera. A few years ago, he somewhat reluctantly made the transition to digital and now shoots primarily with Fuji mirrorless cameras. His favorite region for photography is the Four Corners of the American Southwest, but he also shoots landscapes in and around his home region of Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois, and makes occasional trips to other parts of the country as well. Although he shoots a variety of styles, some of his favorites are old school black and white landscapes of the desert Southwest. An old-school photographer, he does surprisingly little editing, and manages to feel guilty even about that.
