Join us for the first session in a FREE three-part series on How to Spot a Sociopath, from 6-7:30 p.m. on March 20, in the Lecture Hall of the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center. Part 2 will be held on March 27, and Part 3 will be held on April 3. This series is brought to you by the Behavioral Health Support program.
This series will look at both ends of the spectrum concerning sociopathy, from the diverse perspectives of our presenters, to broaden participants understanding of this personality disorder.
Session 1: March 20
An Overview of Sociopathy and the Origin of the Disorder
The presenter for this session will be Jessica Bishop, MS. She is an educator for Southeast Missouri State University, and a TRC adjunct instructor.
Session 2: March 27
Brain Structure and Genetics
Dr. Mairead Ryan-Anderson, Ph.D., a biochemist and retired TRC instructor, will be the presenter for this session.
Session 3: April 3
Symptom Presentation and Treatment
This session will be lead by Nita Buchanan, LCSW. She is a clinical manager for FCC Behavioral Health.
A free copy of “The Sociopath Next Door” will be provided to all attendees by Missouri Highlands Healthcare with funding from the HRSA Behavioral Health Support Grant.
