About Ted Vigil
Ted Vigil brings the music of John Denver to life with a heartfelt tribute that celebrates one of America’s most beloved singer-songwriters. The late Steve Weisberg, Denver’s longtime guitar accompanist, noted Vigil’s remarkable resemblance to Denver both physically and musically.
Vigil is not an impersonator, but an artist dedicated to honoring Denver and the music that continues to resonate with audiences around the world. With his natural gift for the music and a polished, engaging performance style, Vigil creates a warm and memorable experience filled with Denver’s timeless songs.
Before developing his John Denver tribute, Vigil wrote, recorded, and performed his own original music. In 2006, he won the national title at Talent Quest in Laughlin, Nevada, an achievement that helped inspire him to create his John Denver tribute show. He soon began performing across the country, and in 2007 shared the stage with Keith Anderson, Jeff Bates, and Kevin Sharp aboard the annual Traveling Kountry Kruz.
That same year, Vigil won KOMO TV 4’s Northwest Afternoon Celebrity Look-Alike Contest. In 2010, he performed with Steve Weisberg and Eddie Kilgallon, keyboardist for Ricochet and Montgomery Gentry. Vigil later collaborated with Kilgallon to write and record original music in Nashville for the album Sing My Songs, produced by Kilgallon.
