Three Rivers College Professor Mark Sanders is holding a book signing and public reading of his latest book, “Siannon’s Promise,” at 10 a.m. Sept. 26, in the Rutland Library at Three Rivers College.

Sanders has previously written the novels “Dylan’s Treasure,” and “The Spring of Llanfyllin.” All three are available on amazon.com.

“Siannon’s Promise” continues the story of Siannon, Dylan, and Kane Ellesmere who are on a quest to find an ancient treasure that holds the key to bringing Penwik, the exiled magician who started the Norse war in Llanfyllin, to justice.

Their journey takes them far from their island kingdom to locations and adventures throughout Europe, leading them to a discovery beyond their imagination and new allies in their race to stop Penwil before he brings the world to an end. The final chapter in the Dylan and Siannon trilogy offers readers of all ages a cast of familiar favorites along with a host of new characters in a tale of magic, mystery, and miracles.

Sanders is a Professor of Philosophy and English for Three Rivers. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri in 1990. His emphasis was on magazine writing and graphic design, and he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was then the recipient of the Wiliam Gregory Fellowship for Graduate Studies at the University of Missouri; he earned his Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in creative writing in 1992. Sanders spent the next 7 years working in the graphic arts and printing industry. He joined Three Rivers in the fall of 1999 as Director of Testing and Assessment. He joined the full-time faculty in the summer of 2004, teaching Writing, Literature, and Philosophy. Sanders completed graduate philosophy credentials from the University of Illinois-Springfield in 2017.
