Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Three Rivers Championship College Rodeo, presented by Farm Credit Southeast Missouri, will be held October 5-7, 2023. The event, co-hosted by the Sikeston Jaycees, will be held at the Art Saunders Arena at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds.

Thursday, October 5 at 6 p.m.
Join us for a FREE slack performance (free admission and no cooler fee)! What’s slack? It’s the same as the regular rodeo, but without the clown, music, and extra activities. So come out and cheer on the teams as they test their skills! Competitors with the best times move on to the rodeo on Friday night.

Friday, October 6 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 7 at 3 p.m.

Get ready for an action-packed two days of rodeo and family-friendly activities. At each performance, there will be a free calf scramble for kids ages 5-12. Friday night, which is FFA night, we’ll have a fun competition for our local FFA Chapters. Saturday, we’ll kick things off at 2 p.m. when the gates open with free activities for kids including a stick horse race (bring your own stick horse or use one of ours), nail driving competition, and more! Also on Saturday, we’ll be entertained with Jaycees’ steer wrestling! Gates open one hour before start time.

Friday’s performance is sponsored by Central Methodist University. Sterling Pharmacy/Sikeston Convalescent Center is Saturday’s performance sponsor. The calf scrambles on Friday and Saturday are sponsored by Montgomery Bank.

Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12, and free for ages 3 and younger. Bring your cooler for a $20 fee! Three Rivers students and employees will be admitted for $5 by showing their TRC ID. Purchase tickets online now.

Each performance will include bull riding, bareback bronc riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, goat tying, and various roping competitions.

This event is National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association-sanctioned and will feature top competitors from 15 college rodeo teams in the Association’s Ozark Region. Participating colleges include Central Methodist University, East Mississippi Community College, Erskine College, Michigan State University, Mississippi State University, Missouri Valley College, Murray State University, Northwest Mississippi Community College, Pearl River Community College, Southern Arkansas University, University of Arkansas-Monticello, University of Kentucky, University of West Alabama, and the University of Tennessee at Martin, as well as Three Rivers College.
