How to Create a Memorial Fund
A memorial fund can be established immediately to allow friends and families to contribute in lieu of flowers or at a later time. A memorial scholarship or other fund creates a meaningful way to honor your loved one, while carrying their legacy forward for future generations of students.
- Contact Three Rivers Endowment Trust (573-840-9077 or email Michelle Reynolds) and let us know you want to establish a fund. We simply need to know the name for the fund so we are ready to accept donations.
- Encourage donors with a statement in the obituary and/or memorial service program is recommended. Here’s suggested wording: Memorial donations may be made to ‘Name of Fund’ payable to: Three Rivers Endowment Trust, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Donations may also be made online
- Complete fund documents to determine criteria, charitable goals, or other specific information for our donor agreement paperwork.
- Send personal thank you notes, if desired. We maintain a list of names to share. The Three Rivers Endowment Trust, which is a 501(c)(3), will send official thank you letters and tax acknowledgement letters.
