Scholarships are offered through the Three Rivers Endowment Trust, state and federal grants, private foundations, corporations, businesses, families and individuals. Donors may contribute to an existing scholarship or establish a new one. There are three types of scholarships at Three Rivers:

Endowed

The original gift is invested by the Three Rivers Endowment Trust Fund, and scholarships are awarded based on the spending policy (currently 4%). The original gift is used as a perpetual source of scholarship funding. The minimum contribution to endow a scholarship is $10,000, which may be invested over a four-year period. To endow a full tuition scholarship at Three Rivers College requires a minimum investment of $55,000.

Unrestricted

This type of scholarship provides the College with maximum flexibility in determining the best use of the scholarship donation.

Restricted

These may be one-time or annual scholarships and may be set aside for:

  • Students in specific programs or departments within the College
  • Students in specific designations such as:
    • High academic achievement
    • Minority or ethnic status
    • Non-traditional status
    • Specific leadership skills or talents
    • Significant financial need

Reach out to the Office of Development for more information about scholarship donations.
