The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Center for Child Well-Being is holding a training on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with a Conscious Approach to Discipline. This training is for child care programs with subsidy and early care teachers. It will be held on Monday, June 26 from 6-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center building on the Poplar Bluff campus, room 108.

This FREE three-hour training includes: three clock hours and certificate, and Conscious Discipline and social-emotional materials.

Training Objectives:

  • Review the relationship between the brain and behavior
  • Identify effective SEL practices
  • Participate in SEL activities
  • Plan to implement a conscious approach to discipline
