After a year of work, the Herschel and Arrietta Bess Activity Center at Three Rivers College is ready to welcome back the public.
The completely renovated Bess Activity Center is holding an open house for the public April 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and later in the day from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Guests can tour the facilities, play basketball and pickleball, enjoy a fitness class demonstration, get a bite to eat at the new and improved Rocky’s café, or play Super Smash Bros. in the Esports arena.
DJ Devin will have music, and all guests can sign up for giveaways and a chance to win a year of free membership. Must be present to redeem prizes.
“A lot of hard work has gone into making the Bess better than ever,” Three Rivers President Dr. Wesley Payne said. “We
are excited to partner with Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation to make this wonderful building available to the community.”

Three Rivers has partnered with Poplar Bluff Parks & Recreation to offer day passes and monthly memberships for individuals and families. Bess Activity Center members will have access to courts, unlimited fitness classes, and fitness equipment. A complete list of available fitness classes can be found at pbparks.recdesk.com/.
Rocky’s café is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus specialty drinks and coffees.
