Three Rivers College has been named a finalist in the Experience Idol 2026: Best Use Case category by Ellucian, recognizing the college’s innovative approach to improving the student scholarship application experience through its use of the Ellucian Experience platform.
The recognition highlights a redesign of the College’s scholarship process, shifting from a fragmented, email-driven workflow to a centralized, student-driven experience.
“Through the tools Ellucian has provided, we’ve transformed a rushed and time-consuming process into one that is persistent, accessible, and centered around the student,” Three Rivers College System Administrator James Huskey said.
Previously, scholarship coordination required manual effort across multiple departments, including report generation, email outreach, and packet assembly. The new process eliminates these inefficiencies and reduces processing time.
“What used to take hours can now be done in minutes per scholarship,” Three Rivers Director of Development Michelle Reynolds said.
Student participation in the institutional scholarship process has doubled since the solution was launched last fall. The solution leverages Ellucian Experience’s extensibility, enabling seamless integration with existing systems and a modern user experience.
Three Rivers students receive more than $14 million in financial aid each year, and all students are automatically considered for more than 280 scholarships by completing the application for admission and submitting their FAFSA. For more information, visit trcc.edu/pay-for-college/financial-aid/.
