Samuell has worked behind the scenes for more than a decade to support the College, her students, and her co-workers. She has been a go-to resource for faculty in a constantly evolving environment. Samuell helps with policy compliance, web changes, new programs, and accessibility needs for students with disabilities.

“Three Rivers is a wonderful institution that benefits students in a variety of ways. I love how we have something for everyone. No matter what path you wish to pursue in life, we have something to help you achieve your dreams,” Samuell said. “One of my favorite things about working at Three Rivers is watching the students grow from their first days through the conclusion of their time on campus. No matter which pathway they choose to pursue, they always grow and change from the experiences they have here. I would like to thank my colleagues in the English Department for supporting my ideas. I would also like to thank my family for their never-ending love and support.”

Gracey has grown the Forestry program and has gone above and beyond to ensure his students can participate in hands-on learning that increases their knowledge in the field. He has also created strong networking relationships with community partners to help students find successful careers after completing the Forestry program.

“I had no idea that I had even been nominated,” Gracey said. “After the shock wore off, I felt a great sense of appreciation for those who gave me this honor. It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the College. The students who go through this program are very special to me. They are eager to learn, they have very good attitude. They have a very good work ethic, which makes me proud knowing they are going to give all they have to the profession they’ve chosen. I now have many students who went through the program working in the local area. I would like to thank Andrea Pierce and Kathryn Clark for supporting forestry. They both have been very willing and open to helping foster the growth of the forestry program.”
