Patrons of the Arts will present a performance by the Brazilian All Stars at 7 p.m. October 26 in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Direct from Rio de Janeiro, these world-renowned musicians offer a musical journey through Brazil’s most famous songs, sambas, bossa novas, ballads, choro, Fado, virtuoso instrumentals, and more.

The unique sound of Brazilian music is the result of a fusion of styles: Portuguese, American jazz, Cuban and African rhythms, plus additional influences from other South American regions.

A true super group, the Brazilian All Stars feature some of the most renowned Brazilian musicians: Andre Sarbib (vocals and piano), Claudio Cesar Ribeiro (guitar), Lilian Raquel (vocals), Mario N’Goma (percussion), Leandro Leonet (drums), Filipe Teixeira (bass), and Magdalena Petrovich (cello). Individually and collectively they have performed all over the world.

“The Brazilian All Stars are an amazing group of musicians,” said Robert Abney, Director of the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. “This performance gives our community the opportunity to experience exceptional South American music for an affordable price.”

Tickets are $15 each and are on sale now. They are available online at trcc.edu/tinnin (online fee may be charged) and in person at the Three Rivers Student Accounts Office and the Tinnin Center Art Gallery. Tickets will be sold at the door, if any remain. All seats reserved.
