The Three Rivers College Raiders and Lady Raiders basketball teams will have their first practice of the season at Raider Madness on October 1 at 6 p.m. in the Libla Family Sports Complex. The public is invited to attend this free event and watch both teams scrimmage.
October 1 marks the beginning of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) basketball season each year. It is the first day teams are allowed to practice according to the organization’s rules.
“This is a great opportunity for Raiders fans to come out and see our new players on the court for the first time,” said Coach Brian Bess, head coach for the TRC Raiders basketball team.
The Raiders’ first home game is during the 1st Midwest Bank Classic on November 5-6 in the Libla Family Sports Complex. The Lady Raiders’ first home game is against Dyersburg State Community College at 6 p.m. November 3 in the Libla Family Sports Complex.
