For the first time in team history, the Three Rivers College Lady Raiders Softball Team are the Region XVI champs, and they will play this weekend for the opportunity to go to the National Championship tournament.
The Lady Raiders will play #14 ranked Indian Hills Community College in the best two of three District J Playoff at Rains Field on the Three Rivers Campus, beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, May 4. The first game will be at 1 p.m. The second game will begin 30 minutes following the first game. If a third game is needed, it will be at noon on Saturday, May 5.
The winner of the series will advance to the NJCAA Division 1 Softball Championship Tournament to be held May 16-19 in St. George, Utah.
The Lady Raiders won the Region XVI Tournament April 29 with a win over Crowder College.
