New students at Three Rivers College have the opportunity to learn about “Financing Your Education” while earning up to a $50 scholarship at 2 p.m. March 9. Students can join in person at Plaster 108 on the Three Rivers Poplar Bluff campus, or participate via Zoom. This is the second of four seminars.
This seminar will cover how to find additional money for your education, tips for setting up your FSA ID, information on completing the FAFSA, how changes in your family’s financial situation can alter your eligibility, the best budgeting practices, and where to find the best job opportunities.

TRC advisors will also be hosting seminars on Student Resources in April, and Surviving College and Preparing for Finals in May.
For each seminar that new students attend, you will be given up to a $50 scholarship. This means that you can earn up to $200 in scholarship money just for attending all four seminars. Your name will also be placed in a drawing for a $25 Raider Card (15 cards total) for each seminar you attend. These cards can be used at participating restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. The scholarship money will be applied to your account and the drawing will be held after the last seminar is completed in May.
If you attended the seminars in Fall 2021 you will not qualify for the scholarships or gas cards this semester. The seminars for March, April, and May are the same as the ones advisors hosted in Fall 2021.
