Jennifer Inman, a Three Rivers Accounting Instructor, has been selected by Three Rivers College as the 2024-25 recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. In addition, Miranda Hudson, Adjunct Instructor of Nursing, was named by the College as its Adjunct of the Year Award for Excellence in Teaching.
“We’re extremely proud of Ms. Inman and Ms. Hudson’s work in our classrooms. They are dedicated faculty members who are always available and provide a high-quality education,” said Dr. Wesley Payne, President of Three Rivers College. “They are examples of the excellence all our instructors display and the kind of high-quality education our students receive.”

Inman has taught at Three Rivers for five years and has served on numerous committees. Inman continuously works during office hours with both online and in-person students, provides one-on-one tutoring, and works with students via Zoom calls.
“In only my fifth year of teaching, I was honored even to be nominated and shocked to be chosen for this award,” Inman said. “Every day, I get the privilege of teaching students skills they can use in real life. I get to help students achieve their goals of a better future, whether through learning more about themselves and that they can do hard things, helping them believe in themselves, or helping them find employment or a new career path. Having a career that allows me to help others improve their lives is a blessing I never envisioned, but I’m thankful for the opportunity Three Rivers has given me to impact students through this work.
“I would like to thank my family for supporting me in everything I choose to do, including changing my career to become an instructor five years ago. I would also like to thank the TRC administration for giving me the opportunity to teach students and my fellow faculty members who make a great team and make sure there is never a boring day at work.”
Hudson specializes in maternal-child nursing and brings invaluable real-world experience to her students. She takes pride in preparing the next generation of nurses and watching them gain the knowledge and skills they need to provide their patients with the best possible care.
“I was surprised and honored to be named Adjunct of the Year! I love teaching at Three Rivers and being a part of the Nursing program,” Hudson said. “I have loved getting to know my students and seeing them succeed at their dreams! Three Rivers is important to me because it offers an excellent education to the students of Southeast Missouri and the surrounding areas. The faculty and staff are a family who genuinely care about the students they serve. “I would like to thank my husband, Hunter, and my family for always supporting me and helping me pursue my dreams. I would also like to thank my babies, Lila and Alvie, for giving me the drive to try new things!”
