Three Rivers College and Farm Credit Southeast Missouri are partnering to invest a significant amount to benefit Southeast Missouri over 12 years.
A highlight will be a new agriculture education classroom built on the Three Rivers Farm in Fairdealing, Mo. This new classroom will help serve the Southeast Missouri agriculture community as a classroom and meeting/event space. The agreement will include a Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom at Three Rivers locations in Poplar Bluff, Dexter, Kennett, and Sikeston.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our students to benefit from additional hands-on education at the Three Rivers Farm,” Three Rivers President Dr. Wesley Payne said. “The Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom will be a wonderful space for hosting events and meetings for area FFA Chapters, Hero’s to Hives Program, regional 4-H Clubs, cattleman’s association, and other agriculture associations.”
A groundbreaking at the Farm for the Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom will be held in the near future, with numerous events to be held throughout the 2024-25 school year. Upcoming Three Rivers events can be viewed at trcc.edu/events/.
