Three Rivers College recently received five printers as a donation from Peoples Community Bank that will benefit the IT Specialist program at Three Rivers.

In our Information Technology Essentials class, printers are something students have to deal with,” said Dr. Michael Malone, Three Rivers Assistant Professor of Information Systems Technology. “Until now, we haven’t had spare printers to let them mess with. Now we have spare printers. Plus, in one of our Capstone classes, students have to build a small network, and it will be very useful to have them also add a small printer to their network.”

Three Rivers College received three HP Laser Jet 2055dn printers, one HP Laser Jet 1300n, and a Brother DCP-7065 DN.

The IT Specialist program at Three Rivers prepares students for entry-level positions in the information technology field. IT Specialists work with the software and hardware of computer systems and networks, maintain and troubleshoot computer systems and networks, help install software and hardware, and provide customer service to end users within a network.
