A Three Rivers College student received the Norma Hufstedler Endowed Scholarship, administered by the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.

Cole Remington York is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at Three Rivers College. A 2006 graduate of East Carter R-II, he is the son of Michele Soard of Ellsinore. He is also a veteran.

The fund was established by Norma Hufstedler Gordon. It is geared toward full-time students from the Doniphan R-1 school system seeking a degree in Math, Science, or Engineering.

This scholarship represents some of the more than $60,000 awarded to students this fall by the Three Rivers Endowment Trust, a 501(c)(3) organization that receives and manages donations on behalf of Three Rivers College. The Endowment Trust provides a mutually beneficial means for individuals and businesses to partner with the College.
