The Three Rivers Endowment Trust recently recognized two of its volunteers for exceptional service and support. Margaret Orlando and Brad Thielemier were honored with the inaugural “Friend of the Endowment Trust Award.”

“Margaret and Brad are two great examples of how people can give back and support Three Rivers without opening their wallet,” said Michelle Reynolds, Director of Development at Three Rivers College. “They dedicate countless hours of their personal time to our events and projects to help make them a success.”

Orlando is an Assistant Professor of Speech Communication at Three Rivers College. In addition to other involvement and support with the Endowment Trust, she has led the planning and execution of the Endowment Trust’s annual Trivia Night for the past four years. This event has raised thousands of dollars for scholarships to assist students in financial need.

“Margaret has so much enthusiasm for this event, and works hard to make it a bigger success every year,” said Reynolds. “In addition to leading the event, Orlando is crucial in recruiting other staff to serve on the planning committee.”

Thielemier previously served as Director of Development at Three Rivers College, and now works for the Missouri State Troopers Association. Despite his departure from the College, he has continued to serve as coordinator of the Endowment Trust’s annual golf tournament.

“There’s no better person to lead our golf tournament than Brad,” said Reynolds. “We receive compliments about our golf event every year, and Brad plays a key role in that. He has a passion for golf and a passion for serving Three Rivers, which makes for a fun, successful event.”
