Academic Load

The normal academic load for a student in a semester is 15 or 16 semester hours credit, exclusive of physical education and musical groups. Students with considerable responsibilities in addition to their college work are strongly advised to carry a reduced course load. Students who wish to take more than 21 credit hours during a specific term must possess a 3.0 GPA and petition the Chair of the department housing their program.

Final Grades

Students can find final grades along with additional important student information in myTRCC. Students may also view the unofficial transcript in myTRCC. Three Rivers will not mail grades. However, students who needs a hard copy of the grades may request a transcript.

Grading System

Three Rivers College issues official grades for each student at the end of each semester. The College will grade students enrolled in credit courses by the letter grade system and assign them a grade point average (GPA) for each semester. We determine GPA by dividing the total number of grade points by the number of credit hours attempted. Three Rivers requires a GPA of 2.0 for graduation, unless otherwise indicated through your program of study. The College does not include transitional courses in the GPA computation.
