Program Purpose

Career and Technical Education. The Early Childhood Development Short-Term Certificate prepares the student for work in the field. It is designed to include coursework for the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). After receiving the Short-Term Certificate from Three Rivers College, students must fulfill the additional requirements identified at www.cdacouncil.org before applying to the Council of Professional Recognition for the official certification. Credits earned can be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development.
