Career and Technical Education. The Manufacturing Technology program focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for industrial maintenance and technology career paths. Manufacturing focused skills students will learn include electrical systems, robotics, print reading, programmable controller systems, mechatronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, computer aided machining, quality assurance, automation systems, networking, and welding.

Program Purpose

Program Outcomes

  • Develop the knowledge and skills to safely work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop troubleshooting skills using standard test equipment and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and process operations.
  • Program and monitor industrial PLCs (Programmable Logic Control).
  • Understand the design and operation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of robotics and automation.
