Program Purpose

Career and Technical Education. The Welding Technology program focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed within the manufacturing and maintenance profession. This degree prepares students for entry-level employment and provides a foundation for advancement in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Program Outcomes

  • Recognize appropriate safety measures to apply in the welding environment.
  • Interpret and restate definitions, terminology, and symbols in welding prints.
  • Demonstrate welding techniques in various positions and applications.
  • Evaluate and identify Weld discontinuities and defects.
  • Differentiate the differences of metals, their makeup and uses.
  • Create designs and program various CNC equipment for use in fabrication.
