Reimagining Medieval Music Today: Musicians in Skyrim and Other Fantasy Games

The presentation will be about representations of medieval minstrels and lute music in recent fantasy role-playing games. In addition, he may discuss orientalism in the soundtracks of desert levels in platform games such as Super Mario.
Supporting: A View from the Competitive League of Legends Circuit

This discussion will expose attendees to video game players in our community. Jameson will discuss his time playing on the professional League of Legends circuit from 2012-13.
Esports Arena Open House
with the TRC Esports Team
12 p.m. April 19, CRSP 112
This social event will highlight the team’s Esports Arena, which will be open for students to meet members of the Esports Team, see the Esports Arena, and play video games with team members or other TRC students. The Esports Team will provide refreshments.
Poetry Slam
with the TRC English Department
6 p.m. April 20, PLST 108
This community event is held to commemorate National Poetry Month and Shakespeare’s death (April 23). Students, faculty, staff, and members of the community are invited to share poetry. At the Poetry Slam, TRC’s award-winning literary magazine, “Confluence,” will be distributed free of charge during the break. The English Department will provide refreshments.
