Diane Patterson, Coordinator of Testing Services at Three Rivers College, received the National College Testing Association (NCTA) President’s Award at the 2020 National College Testing Association Virtual Conference in August.
Patterson has served the NCTA as the Chair of the Test Center Certification Committee for more than a year. During that time, she helped streamline the processes so institutions can now gain national certification in four months. Previously, the process would take up to 18 months.
“I was delighted to receive the President’s Award this year,” said Patterson. “NCTA is an excellent organization with about 2,500 members, and I was honored to do my part to make it easier for future members to get their national certification.”
National certification assures vendors that the testing center uses best practices in proctoring tests and can be counted on to follow standards set by the NCTA and vendors.
“We’re very proud of Diane for being recognized by the NCTA,” said Dr. Wesley Payne, President of Three Rivers College. “She does excellent work with our Testing Services here at Three Rivers, and she brings that same passion to her work with NCTA.”
Patterson was recently elected to the NCTA Governing Council.
