Three Rivers College recently received a copy of the book “Mother’s Little Alibi” for the Library at the Three Rivers – Sikeston location.
Author LaDona DeKriek, who wrote the book under the pen name Lydia Constantine, described her life as a child living in a small town during the 1940s and 1950s. In “Mother’s Little Alibi,” readers go back to a simpler time, but for a young girl named Lydia, it was anything but. Born into a family filled with love, tragedy, addiction, and secrets, Lydia’s early years were marked by experiences that would test anyone’s spirit.
