Graduates in forestry and natural resources can pursue careers in:

- Wildlife habitat and conservation
- Forest inventory and GIS mapping
- Environmental consulting
- Wildland fire management
- Recreation and public lands management
These careers exist with federal, state, and private employers throughout Missouri and the Midwest.
Students in the Three Rivers Forestry program gain valuable real-world experience through internships and seasonal positions with agencies such as:
- U.S. Forest Service
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC)
- State and federal land management agencies
- Private forestry and natural resource companies
These internships allow students to:
- Work directly with professional foresters and biologists
- Conduct field measurements and forest inventories
- Assist with habitat management and conservation projects
- Build connections that lead to future employment
Many students secure seasonal or full-time positions after completing internships, giving them a head start in the forestry and conservation workforce.
