Study to become a Surgical Technologist
The purpose of this program is to prepare entry-level Surgical Technologists who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
Both general education and surgical technology courses are included in the program of study; clinical laboratory experiences are planned in local healthcare facilities under the direct guidance of the Surgical Technology faculty. Students enrolled in the surgical technology program have the same privileges and responsibilities accorded all students of the College.

The Three Rivers Surgical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon there commendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA).

Work as a team with surgeons and other medical professionals in the operating room.
The Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology program at Three Rivers College has a site visit scheduled for pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Applied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org). This step in the process is neither a status of accreditation nor a guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
