It is designed to prepare you for transfer to a baccalaureate program at a four-year university. Three Rivers' class sizes are small, offering more personalized instruction than at a large university. The faculty hold advanced degrees in the specialties they teach.

Course articulation agreements exist with many universities, including Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri State University, Arkansas State University, Hannibal-LaGrange University, and Central Methodist University. This means courses taken to earn an AA, Communication pathway will satisfy your general education requirements for and transfer seamlessly into bachelor's degree programs at four-year institutions.

Careers in Communication include news reporting, advertising, public relations, and writing. You may work in television, radio, newspapers, magazines, web sites, and other mediums; government agencies; advertising firms; or non-profit organizations. Graduates of bachelor's degree programs in Communication often continue their education in a master's program to advance their careers.
